Policy Endorsements: FAQ

Making mid-term changes to an active policy can be done through the Blitz Platform.

For endorsements that fall outside of self-service, contact Broker Success by email or phone.

How to Request an Endorsement

To request an endorsement, navigate to the Blitz Platform homepage and select the “endorsements” link in the lefthand navigation bar.

Once there, use the form to find the policy you would like to request mid-term changes for.

Then, select the “Continue Endorsement” link under actions, which will bring you to the page where you can create a new endorsement.

Complete the “Create A New Endorsement” form and click the “Create Endorsement” button at the bottom of the page to move on to the next screen where you will provide more detail about the endorsement request.

Once the details are provided in the form, you’ll find two options at the bottom of the page: select: “Submit Endorsement for Review” or “Continue.”

“Continue” moves you to the next page for additional information gathering
“Submit Endorsement” allows you to bypass subsequent information gathering pages that may not be relevant to your specific endorsement request

Which endorsements require underwriter review?

Currently all endorsements in the self-service platform refer to an Underwriter for review. Blitz is working on making changes that will enable select endorsements to go straight through on the agency side. Once we roll out this update we will provide a list of straight-through endorsements and those that require an underwriter review.

What is the turnaround time for endorsements requiring underwriter review?

Turnaround time for underwriter review of endorsements is 24 hours.

Will the premium change as a result of endorsement?

Most endorsements trigger premium recalculation. Depending on the change, this results in either additional premium owed or return premium credited.

How are updated policy documents delivered?

Once the endorsement is processed, the platform issues updated documents, by email to the agent. Additional copies are available by contacting Broker Success at 1-877-442-5489 or servicing@blitzinsurance.com

What if a correction or change needs to be make to the endorsement after it is issued?

Changes and corrections can be made by contact Broker Success at 1-877-442-5489 or servicing@blitzinsurance.com.
