About Blitz Referrals
- Turnaround Time
Average referral turnaround time is 24 hours excluding weekends and holidays. For urgent referral requests or questions contact 1-877-44-Blitz. - Referral Triggers
High-risk locations, adverse loss history, special coverage, gaps in coverage, crime score, or premium size may trigger underwriting referrals for manual review. - Underwriter Evaluation
Underwriters analyze exposures, review documentation, and assess if the risk fits the Blitz's appetite and guidelines. The underwriter may ask for additional info during their review to make a final determination. - Decision Outcomes
Decisions can approve, modify, or decline risks, guiding policy issuance and ensuring profitability and fairness.

Payment options
Payment Collection Methods
Payments can be made via agency bill or direct bill (paid in full or financing through Honor Capital).
Installments and Billing Cycles
Installment options are available at time of binding and would remain throughout the policy term. Any changes to billing plans would have to be done via a cancel/rewrite. Auto pay can be turned on and off during the policy terms.
Payment Tracking and Management
Agency Bill payments are managed through our Blitz Platform. Direct Bill payments are managed through our billing Vendor, Ascend.
Coverage Continuity
Payments must be received, clear and post for continuous coverage (including any reinstatements).

Surplus Lines Taxes & Fees
Blitz insurance is a non-admitted (also called E&S) carrier; therefore, only surplus lines brokers, not retail agents, can place business with Blitz. It also means there are some state-specific compliance requirements to be aware of including taxes, filings, disclosures, and diligent search.
